Continuing the Drummond Poetry tradition in 2007, the Cobalt Public Library held a centenary Drummond Day Commemoration in memory of the 100th anniversary of Dr Drummond's death in 1907.
Dr. William Henry Drummond (1854–1907) was "Canada's First National Poet" as well as doctor and a silver mine owner in the Cobalt area. Included in many anthologies through the years including: The New Oxford Book of Canadian Verse (1982).
