1. Residency: All entrants must be elementary school age and live in the South Temiskaming district.

2. Poems must be titled, not published before, and typed on a blank white 8.5 x11 inch paper. Do not put your name on the same page your poem is typed .

3. Your name, address, telephone, email, must appear on the cover page enclosed with your poems.

4. Contest entry: Your envelope with the entry to the contest should include:

  • a) Your poem

  • b) The cover page containing your name, address, telephone, and email

5. Deadline: Poems must be submitted and received by March 20, 2008

6. Rights: By entering you are giving Spring Pulse Poetry Festival and White Mountain Publications first Canadian rights to publication.

7. Prizes: Cash prizes will be for First:$100, Second: $75, and third:$50 Six honourable mentions of $25 will be given. All those winners will receive a certificate and one copy of the anthology.

Awards will be presented at the Classic Theatre on April 6, 2008 1:00 pm-3:00 pm during the Drummond Day ceremony. The winners will have a chance to read their poems in public during that time.
