"WAITING"

Waiting
for
toast to pop
charred crust
smoke detectors wail

Waiting
for a mug of hot chocolate
the microwave turntable whirls
chocolate bubbles and spills
dish cloth in the washing machine

Waiting
to surf channels
grasp the remote control
from hockey hockey
hookey for drama

Waiting
for the telephone to ring
a child across “the pond”
voices of another world
cultures colour space

Waiting
for the rain to stop
tear drops on the tiles
there flies the sun
a rainbow comes.

“A Story of Time”

Spring Blossoms Summer song Autumn leaves Winter long Time to grow Wait for change Young and old Hide and seek Happy memories to be held!
