Near Such Perfection

I have tried to write this poem for days

but nothing says it better than seeing your face

near such perfection how do I manage to compare

the strongest protection in knowing you're there

dying for you sounds such like a sin

but for my head on your chest, your breath on my skin

with every intellection, I think I've got it right

because your kiss is one that keeps me up at night

downfall of seeing you is we must part

but I know that you stay with me, beating in my heart

if you tell me that you will not leave

I swear to hold on and believe

I thought to give up; after so many tries

and why bother to trust, after so many lies

but you changed my thoughts, showing me what's true

I'm saying this being veracious, the only one for me

is you.
