SUNDAY

train whistle

cuts the landscape,

fades away

to journeys south

here,

surrounded by

aspens

bird calls

blue skies,

the heart listens,

feels a presence

waiting to enter.

the rocks

on the walkway,

reminicsent

of gravestones,

hold a spirit

beyond

buried treasures
